Verify Group Who Owns gshadow File
Description
To properly set the group owner of /etc/gshadow
, run the command:
$ sudo chgrp shadow /etc/gshadow
Rationale
The /etc/gshadow
file contains group password hashes. Protection of this file
is critical for system security.
