# Azure should send security alert emails to subscription owners

Enabling security alert emails to subscription owners ensures that they receive security alert emails from Microsoft. This makes sure that they are aware of any potential security issues and can mitigate the risk in a timely fashion.

## Remediation{% #remediation %}

1. From the [Azure Portal](https://portal.azure.com/#home) select the Portal menu.
1. Select **Microsoft Defender for Cloud**.
1. Click **Environment Settings** on the left side menu.
1. Click on the appropriate management group, subscription, or workspace.
1. Click **Email notifications**.
1. Ensure that **All users with the following roles** is set to *Owner*.
