# DMS endpoints for Redis OSS should have TLS enabled

## Description{% #description %}

AWS DMS endpoints for Redis OSS should have TLS enabled. Enabling TLS encryption protects data in transit between DMS and your Redis target endpoint, preventing unauthorized interception of sensitive data.

## Remediation{% #remediation %}

Enable TLS for your DMS Redis endpoint. Specific instructions can be found in [AWS DMS documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/dms/latest/userguide/CHAP_Target.Redis.html#CHAP_Target.Redis.EndpointSettings)
