SSL connection on MySQL Database Server should be enabled

Enable SSL connectivity on MySQL Servers. SSL connectivity helps to provide a new layer of security by connecting database servers to client applications using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Enforcing SSL connections between a database server and its client applications helps protect against “man in the middle” attacks by encrypting the data stream between the server and application.

From the console

  1. Log in to Azure Portal.
  2. Go to Azure Database for SQL server.
  3. For each database, click Connection security.
  4. In SSL settings, click Enabled to enforce SSL connection .
