Overview

View your Elastic Cloud billing information in Datadog Cloud Cost Management, allowing you to understand your Elastic Cloud costs, allocate them by deployment, and optimize your cloud spending.

This integration collects billing data from your Elastic Cloud organization, including:

  • Deployment costs broken down by resource type (for example, Elasticsearch, Kibana, or APM)
  • Cost allocation by deployment tags and metadata
  • Historical billing data for trend analysis

Setup

Troubleshooting

No billing data appearing

  • Verify that your API key has the correct permissions (Billing read access).
  • Ensure your Elastic Organization ID is correct.
  • Check that your account has billing data available (new accounts may not have data yet).
  • Wait up to 24 hours for initial data synchronization.

Authentication errors

  • Regenerate your API key in the Elastic Cloud console.
  • Update the API key in the Datadog integration configuration.
  • Ensure your user account has the required permissions in Elastic Cloud.

Missing deployment information

  • Verify that your API key has Deployments read access.
  • Check that deployments exist in your Elastic Cloud organization.
  • Ensure deployments have been running long enough to generate billing data.
