Square is a business technology platform that provides hardware and software solutions for payment processing, inventory management, customer engagement, and online sales, serving businesses of all sizes. By leveraging Square’s Events API, this integration provides visibility into business activities, and delivers actionable intelligence as logs and events in Datadog.
This integration includes one out-of-the-box dashboard:
- Square: Events: This dashboard provides an overview of the Square event logs and merges the eight key areas of Square monitoring—payments, refunds, orders, inventory, customers, invoices, bookings, and payouts—into one unified view designed to deliver visibility and actionable intelligence.
This integration includes the following Datadog Cloud SIEM detection rules for enhanced monitoring and security:
- Unusual payment failure trend observed in Square
- Unusual refund activity pattern observed in Square
- Unusual dispute activity pattern observed in Square
- Abnormal order cancellation pattern observed in Square
Note: To use the out-of-the-box detection rules, the relevant integration must be installed in Datadog, and Cloud SIEM must be enabled.
This integration includes one monitor:
- Item out of stock : This monitor alerts when the inventory count reaches zero for an item.
