# Azure Usage and Quotas

## Overview{% #overview %}

Azure places [preconfigured limits](https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/quotas/quotas-overview) on resources for your subscription. To avoid unexpected provisioning failures, consider these limits as you design and scale your Azure environment. Get metrics from Azure Usage and Quotas to:

- Visualize utilization of compute, network, and storage resources against your quota.
- Understand and prevent provisioning failures from hitting quota limits.

If you haven't already, set up the [Microsoft Azure integration first](https://docs.datadoghq.com/integrations/azure.md). There are no other installation steps that need to be performed.

| **azure.usage.remaining_api_calls**(gauge) | API calls remaining for a resource provider scoped to a region. |
