Error Tracking insights in Visual Studio

Overview

The Datadog Extension for Visual Studio helps you improve your software by providing code-level insights directly in the IDE, based on real-time observability data from:

  • Logs
  • Profiling
  • Error Tracking
  • CI Visibility
  • App and API Protection
  • Static Analysis

Setup

Installation

  1. Download and install the extension from the Visual Studio Marketplace.
  2. In Visual Studio, go to Tools > Options > Datadog.
  3. Sign in with your Datadog account.

Configuration

Select the Datadog services relevant to your project from the plugin settings.

  1. Open a solution in Visual Studio.
  2. Go to Extensions > Datadog > Linked Services.
  3. Add services, and save your solution.
