## Overview{% #overview %}

[Rubrik](https://www.rubrik.com/) is a data security platform that delivers backup and recovery, ransomware detection, and cyber resilience across enterprise, cloud, and SaaS workloads. Rubrik Security Cloud can send webhook notifications for events such as backup job results, anomaly and ransomware detections, and configuration changes.

Integrate Rubrik with Datadog to:

- Forward Rubrik event notifications into Datadog Logs through a generic webhook.
- Monitor backup and recovery job outcomes alongside the rest of your infrastructure telemetry.
- Alert on ransomware detections, anomalies, and failed protection tasks using Datadog monitors.

## Setup{% #setup %}

### In Datadog{% #in-datadog %}
Copy the generated webhook URL from the **Configure** tab on the [Rubrik integration tile](https://app.datadoghq.com/integrations/rubrik).
1. Copy the Datadog API key from the integration tile and save it for later use.

### In Rubrik{% #in-rubrik %}

1. In Rubrik, navigate to **Apps** > **Settings**.
1. Under **Account & Security**, select **Notifications** > **Webhooks**.
1. Click **Add Webhook**.
1. Configure the webhook:
   - **Provider**: Select **Generic**.
   - **Webhook Name**: Enter a unique name for the webhook.
   - **Endpoint**: Copy and paste the Datadog endpoint provided in the integration tile.
1. Enable the **Authentication** section.
1. Select **Advanced** or **Custom Authentication**.
1. Configure the HTTP authentication header:
   - **HTTP header key**: `DD-API-KEY`
   - **Value**: Enter the Datadog API key copied in the previous step.
1. Click **Next**.
1. Select the desired **Export Format**, or create a custom format.
1. Complete the webhook configuration and save it.

## Uninstallation{% #uninstallation %}

1. In Rubrik, navigate to **Apps** > **Settings**.
1. Under **Account & Security**, select **Notifications** > **Webhooks**.
1. Locate the webhook created for Datadog.
1. Delete the webhook.
