## Overview{% #overview %}

The Datadog–New Relic integration is an MCP-based integration that enables Datadog to securely access a [New Relic MCP server instance](https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/agentic-ai/mcp/setup/).

Through this integration, the Bits AI SRE agent is granted access to designated New Relic data sources and observability signals exposed through the available MCP tools. This includes access to metrics, traces, logs, and alerts to help investigate and correlate performance issues across a customer's stack.

During the Preview period, Bits AI SRE investigations that include one or more New Relic tool calls will not be billed.

## Setup{% #setup %}

Click the **Add New Relic MCP Account** button to authenticate Datadog to the New Relic MCP server.
