## Overview{% #overview %}

Microsoft Purview provides data governance, cataloging, and discovery capabilities. This integration collects scan outcomes and duration, data map capacity, and storage metrics across the `Microsoft.Purview` resource provider.

If you haven't already, set up the [Microsoft Azure integration](https://docs.datadoghq.com/integrations/azure.md) first. There are no other installation steps.
