Overview

Google Cloud Trace is a distributed tracing system that collects latency data from your applications and displays it in the Google Cloud console, helping you understand how requests propagate through your services.

Use the Datadog Google Cloud Platform integration to collect metrics from Google Cloud Trace.

Setup

Installation

If you haven’t already, set up the Google Cloud Platform integration first. There are no other installation steps.

Data Collected

Metrics

gcp.cloudtrace.bigquery_export.exported_span_count
(count)		Counts per status of attempts to export spans to BigQuery via a TraceSink. Note that spans will be counted for each configured TraceSink that they match.
gcp.cloudtrace.billing.monthly_spans_ingested
(gauge)		Month-to-date trace spans ingested.
gcp.cloudtrace.billing.spans_ingested
(count)		Trace spans ingested.

Events

The Google Cloud Trace integration does not include any events.
