## Overview{% #overview %}

Google Cloud Bare Metal Solution provides purpose-built, dedicated bare-metal servers in regional extensions connected to Google Cloud through a managed, low-latency network. It runs specialized workloads, such as Oracle databases, that require direct access to physical hardware while staying close to Google Cloud's broader set of services.

Use the Datadog Google Cloud Platform integration to collect infrastructure metrics for your Bare Metal Solution servers, volumes, and LUNs.

If you haven't already, set up the [Google Cloud Platform integration](https://docs.datadoghq.com/integrations/google-cloud-platform.md) first. There are no other installation steps.
