## Overview{% #overview %}

[Gemini for Google Cloud](https://cloud.google.com/gemini/docs/overview) is Google Cloud's AI assistance offering, powered by the Cloud AI Companion API. It works in conjunction with [Gemini Cloud Assist](https://cloud.google.com/gemini/docs/cloud-assist) and [Gemini Code Assist](https://cloud.google.com/gemini/docs/codeassist/overview) to help developers write, review, and troubleshoot code, and to assist operators with day-to-day cloud usage directly inside the console. Monitor the rate at which Code Assist suggestions are offered and accepted, along with overall assistant usage, to understand adoption and effectiveness across your teams.

If you haven't already, set up the [Google Cloud Platform integration](https://docs.datadoghq.com/integrations/google-cloud-platform.md) first. There are no other installation steps.
