## Overview{% #overview %}

**Someone needs to own the Datadog platform every month.**

Teams that get the most from Datadog treat it as an operating layer, meaning someone owns signal quality, tagging standards, cost governance, and product adoption. - Security signal operations: detection review, triage workflows, CSPM findings addressed and tracked, where in scope
- Continuous improvement: new Datadog capabilities assessed and adopted, coverage extended to new services, SLOs refined as data matures
- Enablement: knowledge transfer throughout, so your team gets stronger

**Monthly artifacts** Shared backlog, usage and cost summary, signal quality review, delivered work summary, recommendation and risk log, roadmap update.

**Outcomes** Alert noise stays manageable as the platform scales, because it is reviewed continuously rather than periodically. Dashboards reflect how the system works today. Tagging standards hold as new services deploy. The cost profile stays predictable, with no surprises from cardinality or retention settings. Adoption keeps widening, so more of what you own works for you. Your engineers stay on the product.

You keep full access and control throughout. We manage the platform; you own the account, the data, and the configuration. No black box.
