[SolarWinds Observability SaaS](https://www.solarwinds.com/) provides comprehensive monitoring for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments, enabling the tracking of entities like websites, databases, hosts, services, and network devices. By integrating SolarWinds Observability SaaS with Datadog, users can leverage the strengths of both platforms for enhanced visibility and control. This integration enables the seamless flow of metrics, and logs between systems, helping teams monitor their entire infrastructure in one place, improve troubleshooting, and accelerate issue resolution across complex environments.

This integration collects metrics and logs from SolarWinds, providing insights into:

- Application Service, Database, and Host Entities
- Activity Logs
- Application Performance, and Host Metrics

**Note**: We've added database entities for monitoring, but to track database metrics, you need to configure Datadog's native integrations, which are available in the [Datadog Marketplace](https://app.datadoghq.com/marketplace).

### Service Checks{% #service-checks %}

**crest\_data\_systems\_solarwinds\_observability\_saas.status**

Returns `CRITICAL` if the user configurations are invalid or authentication fails. Returns `OK` otherwise.
