## Overview{% #overview %}

Claude Enterprise User Analytics brings per-user Claude Code activity from your Claude Enterprise organization into Datadog. It collects one daily usage record for each user in your organization and sends it to DORA Metrics and AI Impact.

This tile covers users who access Claude through claude.ai. Users who access Claude through the API directly are covered by the existing Anthropic integration.

### Data collected{% #data-collected %}

The integration reads the Claude Enterprise analytics API once per day. For each user, it records:

- Lines of code added and removed with Claude Code
- Claude Code activity status for the day
- The user's email address and ID

- Track AI-assisted code contribution across your organization in DORA Metrics.
- View Claude Enterprise users alongside API-based users in AI Impact.
- Filter daily Claude Code activity by user and date.

## Setup{% #setup %}

### Prerequisites{% #prerequisites %}

- A Claude Enterprise plan.
- Primary owner access in claude.ai. Only the primary owner can create an Analytics API key.

### Create an Analytics API key in claude.ai{% #create-an-analytics-api-key-in-claudeai %}

1. Sign in to claude.ai as the primary owner.
1. Go to **Organization settings > API**.
1. Enable public API access if it is not already enabled.
1. Select **Create Analytics API key** and copy the key.

### Add the account in Datadog{% #add-the-account-in-datadog %}

1. Open the **Claude Enterprise User Analytics** integration tile.
1. Select **Add Account**.
1. Paste the Analytics API key.
1. Select **Save**.

Data appears within the next crawl cycle. The most recent available data is always from the previous day.

### Troubleshooting{% #troubleshooting %}

- **Authorization error**: The key must be created in claude.ai, not console.anthropic.com. Admin API keys are rejected.
- **No data for today**: This is expected - he most recent data is always from the previous day.
- **Cannot create a key**: Only the primary owner of the Claude Enterprise organization can create Analytics API keys.

## Uninstallation{% #uninstallation %}

To uninstall, delete the account from the **Claude Enterprise User Analytics** integration tile. Removing the last account stops data collection.
