# Azure Usage and Quotas

## Overview{% #overview %}

Azure places preconfigured limits on resources for your subscription. To avoid unexpected provisioning failures, keep these limits in mind as you design and scale your Azure environment. Get metrics from Azure Usage and Quotas to:

- Visualize utilization of computer, network, and storage resources against your quota.
- Understand and prevent provisioning failures from hitting quota limits.

If you haven't already, set up the [Microsoft Azure integration first](https://docs.datadoghq.com/integrations/azure/). There are no other installation steps that need to be performed.

| **azure.usage.remaining\_api\_calls**(gauge) | API calls remaining for a resource provider scoped to a region. |
