This integration provides comprehensive visibility into your Aruba Central Environment by collecting metrics for [Network Device Monitoring](https://app.datadoghq.com/devices)

## Setup{% #setup %}

1. **Create Client Credentials** following [instructions on Aruba](https://developer.arubanetworks.com/new-central/docs/generating-and-managing-access-tokens#create-client-credentials)
1. Copy generated **Client ID** and **Client secret** to a secure location. This token is required to set up the integration in Datadog.
1. Select base URL from [API docs](https://developer.arubanetworks.com/new-central/reference/getdevices) to match the service to monitor.

| **aruba\_central.application\_experience\_good**(count) | The number of clients with a "Good" experience for the application.               |
| **aruba\_central.application\_experience\_poor**(count) | The number of clients with a "Poor" experience for the application.               |
| **aruba\_central.application\_rx\_bytes**(count)        | The number of bytes received by the application.*Shown as byte*                   |
| **aruba\_central.application\_tx\_bytes**(count)        | The number of bytes transmitted by the application.*Shown as byte*                |
| **aruba\_central.client**(count)                        | The count of connected network clients (always 1 per client).                     |
| **aruba\_central.cpu.utilization\_pct**(gauge)          | The CPU utilization percentage of the device.*Shown as percent*                   |
| **aruba\_central.device.count**(gauge)                  | The count of devices with a known status (always 1 per device).                   |
| **aruba\_central.device.uptime\_ms**(gauge)             | The uptime of the device in milliseconds.*Shown as millisecond*                   |
| **aruba\_central.memory.utilization\_pct**(gauge)       | The memory utilization percentage of the device.*Shown as percent*                |
| **aruba\_central.throughput.rx\_bps**(gauge)            | The receive throughput of the device interface in bits per second.*Shown as bit*  |
