{% /alert %}

This integration provides comprehensive visibility into your Aruba Central Environment by collecting metrics for [Network Device Monitoring](https://app.datadoghq.com/devices), including access point and switch health, client connectivity and signal quality, uplink throughput and WAN performance, and site-level traffic trends. This will enable you to monitor device status, troubleshoot wireless issues, and identify network bottlenecks.

## Setup{% #setup %}

1. **Create Client Credentials** following [instructions in Aruba's documentation](https://developer.arubanetworks.com/new-central/docs/generating-and-managing-access-tokens#create-client-credentials)
1. Copy generated **Client ID** and **Client secret** to a secure location. This token is required to set up the integration.
1. Under the URL section, copy the [Base URL](https://developer.arubanetworks.com/new-central/reference/getdevicesv1) to match the service to monitor. \

**Note:** Any Aruba Central user can create client credentials, but the API token inherits the permissions of the user who created it. We recommend using an account with at least read-only access to the Network Operations module to ensure full visibility across all devices and sites.
