Description

Enable soft delete for containers on Azure Blob Storage accounts to allow recovery of accidentally or maliciously deleted containers. When enabled, deleted containers are retained for a configurable period (1–365 days) before permanent removal, protecting against data loss from accidental deletions or ransomware attacks.

Remediation

In the Azure portal, enable soft delete for containers in the storage account Data protection settings. Set the retention period to a value appropriate for your organization. See Soft delete for containers.
