Overview

AWS Parallel Computing Service (AWS PCS) is a managed service that makes it easier for you to run and scale your high-performance computing (HPC) workloads and build scientific and engineering models on AWS.

Enable this integration to see all your PCS metrics in Datadog.

Setup

Installation

If you haven’t already, set up the Amazon Web Services integration first.

Configuration

  1. In the AWS integration page, ensure that AWS PCS is enabled under the Metric Collection tab.
  2. Install the Datadog - AWS PCS integration.

Data Collected

Metrics

aws.pcs.actual_capacity
(count)
Count of running instances (idle_capacity + utilized_capacity).
Shown as instance
aws.pcs.capacity_utilization
(gauge)
Percentage of instances that are being utilized (utilized_capacity / actual_capacity).
Shown as percent
aws.pcs.desired_capacity
(count)
Count of desired instances.
Shown as instance
aws.pcs.idle_capacity
(count)
Count of instances that are running but not allocated to jobs.
Shown as instance
aws.pcs.utilized_capacity
(count)
Count of instances that are running and allocated to jobs.
