Route Filter

A Route Filter in Azure allows you to control which BGP community routes are accessible through an ExpressRoute circuit. By defining route filter rules, you can selectively permit or deny specific service provider routes, ensuring only the necessary traffic is advertised to your network. This helps improve security, reduce unnecessary routing data, and optimize connectivity for services such as Microsoft 365 or Azure public services.
