# Customer Contracts

The [Customer Contracts](https://app.datadoghq.com/billing/customer-contracts) page gives Datadog partners a single view of their end customer contract portfolio, including recurring revenue, renewal dates, invoices, and cost visibility status. Summary tiles at the top of the page show how many contracts are up for renewal, how many customers need rates entered before they can use cost visibility features, and the number and total amount of overdue invoices.

## Prerequisites{% #prerequisites %}

To use Customer Contracts, you need:

- A Datadog admin organization. If you don't have one, contact your Datadog partner team.
- The Billing Read (`billing_read`) permission in your admin organization. Users with this permission can view all of the information on the page. For information on managing permissions, see [Role Based Access Control](https://docs.datadoghq.com/account_management/rbac.md).

## Access Customer Contracts{% #access-customer-contracts %}

1. Log in to your Datadog admin organization.
1. Navigate to [Plan & Usage > Customer Contracts](https://app.datadoghq.com/billing/customer-contracts).

## Customer table{% #customer-table %}

The customer table lists every customer under your admin organization. Select a customer to open their contract detail panel.

| Column          | Description                                                                                                  |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Customer | Name of the end customer |
| CMRR | Contract monthly recurring revenue |
| UMRR | Usage monthly recurring revenue, based on the customer's metered usage rather than their contract commitment |
| Overdue Balance | Total amount of the customer's invoices that are past their due date |
| Cost Visibility | Whether the customer can see their Datadog costs. See Check cost visibility status. |
| Contract Status | Whether the contract is active, approaching its renewal date, or expired |

Use the search box to find a specific customer, or filter the table by Cost Visibility or Contract Status.

## Track renewals{% #track-renewals %}

The customer table shows the contract status for each customer, so you can see which contracts are approaching their renewal date and which have already passed it. Sort or filter by Contract Status to bring the most urgent contracts to the top.

   alt="Customer table sorted by contract status, showing expired and soon-to-expire contracts." /%}

## Review contract details{% #review-contract-details %}

Select a customer to open their contract detail panel. The Current Contract tab shows:

- Spend Overview: last month's CMRR, last month's UMRR, and contract utilization.
- Contract Info: influence status (either Influenced or Not Influenced), contract start date, and contract end date.
- Drawdown Depletion: the total commitment, spend to date, remaining funds, projected total, projected overshoot, and projected depletion date compared to the contract end date. This section appears only for drawdown contracts, where the customer's usage draws down a committed pool of funds over the contract term.

   alt="Contract detail panel for a customer showing the spend overview, drawdown depletion progress bar, and contract info sidebar." /%}

You can set a customer's rates from the Custom Pricing Configuration tab of this panel instead of going to the [Customer Pricing](https://docs.datadoghq.com/account_management/plan_and_usage/partner_experience/customer_pricing.md) page.

## Monitor invoices{% #monitor-invoices %}

The Invoices tab of the contract detail panel lists every invoice for that customer with its issue date, due date, amount, and payment status. Open the PDF for any invoice from this tab. The overdue balance for each customer also appears in the main customer table, and the summary tiles at the top of the page show the count and total amount of overdue invoices across your portfolio.

**Note**: Payment status reflects whether you have paid your Datadog invoice for that customer's usage. It does not track whether the end customer has paid you.

## Check cost visibility status{% #check-cost-visibility-status %}

Your end customers can see their own estimated month-to-date and historical Datadog costs in their Datadog organization, calculated from the rates you publish for them. The Cost Visibility column shows where each customer stands:

- Enabled: the customer can see their Datadog costs in their own organization.
- Not configured: you haven't published rates for this customer yet.
- Update needed: the customer's contract changed, so their published rates need an update.

The Cost Visibility Action Needed tile at the top of the page counts the customers in the Not configured and Update needed states.

To publish or update rates, see [Customer Pricing](https://docs.datadoghq.com/account_management/plan_and_usage/partner_experience/customer_pricing.md). To explain the feature to your customer, share [Cost Visibility for Customers Who Purchase Through a Partner](https://docs.datadoghq.com/account_management/plan_and_usage/bill_overview/partner_purchased_cost_visibility.md).

## Find account contacts{% #find-account-contacts %}

The Contacts section of the contract detail panel lists the Datadog Customer Success Manager (CSM), Datadog Account Executive (AE), and Partner Sales Manager for account-specific questions, along with the billing contact receiving the customer's invoices.
